| The Women’s Committee of Historic Hampton, Inc. stimulates interest in and solicits support for Hampton National Historic Site. Through the Committee’s efforts, it attracts visitors to Hampton by planning, staging and publicizing special events and sponsoring benefits. In well over half a century of support to the park, the Women's Committee has sponsored a wide range of activities both on and off-site, including lectures, teas, farm activity days, and luncheons, including the Annual Spring Luncheon held every year in April.
Through the success of these ventures, the Committee has made many furnishings contributions to the Mansion, including the draperies and the winter and summer bed hangings on the original Ridgely bed in the Master Bedroom, Brunschwig and Fils reproduction fabric for the Music Room, the three hand-painted window shades for the Music Room, the draperies for the Dining Room and the Great Hall, and the wallpaper for the newly reopened Northeast Guest Bedchamber. Your support and attendence of these endeavors helps to make all of this possible.
Check the activities page for upcoming Women's Committee events.
