Hampton National Historic Site's Orangery became an art gallery for works by Baltimore City and Baltimore County Public Schools students and teachers on Sept. 15–16, 2012. In partnership with the BCPS Office of Visual Arts, the Hampton Arts Initiative challenged area students and teachers to create works of art inspired by the site. Many of the student artworks were created by those who participated in the BCPS Summer Art Enrichment Camp, which featured a visit to the 18th century estate. Pieces of student and teacher artwork were selected for inclusion in the juried exhibition.
